2018 has zipped along to the end in the blink of an eye. This is the time of the year we pause and reflect, analyze the year behind us and look ahead with great anticipation for the year to come. We consider what went well and look for opportunities for growth. 2018 was an incredible year for the ORBC family. Now that the year has come to an end, here’s a look at the year with our church. Invite the Spirit Into Your Home
It’s always memorable when you walk into someone’s home and feel an overwhelming sense of peace. It’s almost as if there’s a positive aura that surrounds you. The Spirit of God is present in the homes of those who give their hearts to the Lord through worship daily, study the scriptures diligently, and have pure intentions and hearts. When you don’t feel God’s spirit of peace in your heart or your home, it’s often the first sign that you may have temporarily lost track of the path He wants you to follow. Do you feel the Spirit of God in your home?

Be a Good Example to Others
When you were young, you probably heard of the Golden Rule often from teachers and parents. This not only means being kind to others but setting a good example to others, too. Back then, you may not have taken this seriously. However, being a good example is important, especially when non-followers are watching you. It also turns you into an instrument of God.

Are You Sleeping in the Light?
Finding God’s light is the first step in living for Him. God is real, He is alive, His name is Jesus, and He loves you. Your soul is at rest knowing Jesus died in your place and you no longer have to struggle to be accepted by God. It’s an amazing reality with the ability to transform your life radically. Your life will truly never be the same. However, what happens when your soul’s rest turns to slumber?
