The Most Wonderful Time of the Year at Oak Ridge Baptist Church!

by | Dec 16, 2022 | Holiday Season

This Christmas season we want to thank God for the lessons He has taught us this year. Through His wisdom, we improve our daily lives, so let’s take a moment to look back at what we learned over the course of 2022. Whether you are a new visitor to our church family or an old family member, this will be a great way to learn about us.

This year, we’ve had the opportunity to discuss various topics related to Christianity. These topics have included:

  • The Secret of Contentment: Philippians 4:12-13
  • 5 Pieces of Biblical Advice for Marriage
  • The Importance of Accepting Correction
Merry Christmas to all our followers and church family! Learn what we spoke about over the last year in our blogs! Share on X

The Secret of Contentment: Philippians 4:12-13

This year, we talked about what it means to be truly content with what the Lord has given you. For this blog, we focused on the scripture Philippians 4:12-13. In this scripture, Paul spoke about how he is content with whatever is put in front of him because he knows the Lord will help him through whatever is in front of him. Learn more about how we can apply the secret of contentment to our lives!

5 Pieces of Biblical Advice for Marriage

Another topic we covered this year is some biblical advice for marriage. You have probably seen a lot of marriage advice on the internet, and only some of it is good. We wanted to make sure what we said was true, helpful, and honest. Check out what advice we chose to pass on to our newlyweds.

The Importance of Accepting Correction

Finally, a topic we spoke about is how to accept correction in a Godly and graceful manner. This skill is something that does not come naturally to a lot of people. That is why we wanted to devote a blog post specifically to how to accept correction or criticism. Learn how to accept correction in the best way possible.

Merry Christmas from Oak Ridge Baptist Church!

We are so grateful to our church family for everything you do. As we near the end of the year, we’re grateful for your continued support and look forward to all that is to come. Merry Christmas and God bless!
